The development of the communication tools such as smartphones and tablets has given rise to a large number of Apps presented as medical or likely to contribute indirectly or directly to the health of the persons. Those Apps, just like those connected objects including tensiometer or heart rate monitor, are now more and more considered as medical device by “presentation”. This evolution can be a progress but also a danger for the patient if there are at the origin of false health claim leading to assessment errors that could unpaired patients’ health.

Cen Biotech, which has one of the only center of clinical investigation specially agreed for medical devices evaluation on healthy volunteers and patients, has developed a new activity in the domain of those new electronic tools. The interest of this approach is double: on the one hand, offering an added guarantee to the patient, and on the other hand, including those objects in clinical and epidemiological studies conducted by Cen biotech.
